A modern twist on the classic Masala Chai.
This chocolate chai is a mix of Henny & Joe's multi-award winning masala chai and the best chocolate . When you first sip you expect all the beautiful spices of chai (cardamom, ginger, star anise, nutmeg, cloves, all spices, mixed spices, fennel seeds and cinnamon) followed by the taste of chocolate on your lips.
Originally created just for the Bristol Chocolate Festival 2015 , this chai was officially named 'The best hot drink in the South West' and so it was clear that it would remain a permanent guest in the Henny & Joe's range.
Chai concentrates - how and why are they used?
The application is very simple. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the concentrate to a milk substitute product of your choice. The drink is then heated to the desired temperature in the microwave, on the stove or with the steam wand of the coffee machine. Not only can you use this chai to make vegan chai lattes conveniently at home, but it is also used as an ingredient in baking , cocktails and desserts .
HENNY & JOE'S - an excellent company with a family character
After 15 years working in the hospitality industry, Ash Bailey from Bath, England , couldn't help but take the lack of good chai in local coffee houses and tea rooms into his own hands.
Without further ado, he began producing perhaps the best chai extracts in England using his own original recipe and handcrafted from 100% natural ingredients - vegan and without allergens . The demand was huge and so in 2013 he founded his own company Henny & Joe's, lovingly named after what was always dearest and most important to him personally: his two sons.
The quality of the extracts is now nationally famous and has won various awards such as the Great Taste of the West Award or the national Great Taste Award .
