While classic salted caramel popcorn usually contains cream and butter , Joe & Seph's completely avoids the use of animal products in the production of vegan popcorn . However, this doesn't affect the taste. It's not for nothing that the vegan salted caramel popcorn received an award for its sensational taste . We love the vegan caramel popcorn as a small snack in between, for a relaxed movie night with our loved ones or as a culinary gift idea .
Is popcorn vegan?
Typically, popcorn is vegan because it is made from corn. In order for the corn to become popcorn, it must be heated in hot fat . Vegetable oil is usually used for this - but there are exceptions. Some manufacturers use butterfat instead of vegetable oil. And, as you probably know, this is an animal product and therefore not vegan. The question of whether popcorn is always vegan cannot be answered with “yes” due to the different preparation methods. However, with the delicious salted caramel popcorn from Joe & Seph's you don't have to worry and you can grab it boldly. It is air popped. The ingredient list only contains purely plant-based ingredients - making it 100% vegan.
